Section 5 – Rechargeable Battery Modification Terms

By purchasing or requesting a rechargeable battery modification, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Assumption of Risk – All modifications are performed at your request and risk. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding safety, performance, or longevity.

  2. Charging Requirements – The system must be powered OFF while charging. Only the included charging cord may be used with the modified system. Do not use this cord with an unmodified (stock) system.

  3. Battery Safety – Rechargeable batteries are hazardous if mishandled. Do not cut, puncture, crush, short-circuit, or expose the battery to heat, water, or fire. Mishandling may result in fire, explosion, or injury.

  4. Liability Waiver – You assume full responsibility for safe use, charging, and storage. GameBoy Mart is not liable for damages, injuries, or losses arising from use or misuse.

Section 6 – Warranty & Repair Policy

  1. Limited Warranty on Services

    • All custom modifications and repairs performed by GameBoy Mart include a                                1-year workmanship warranty starting from the date of delivery.

    • This warranty covers issues directly related to the work performed (e.g., faulty solder joints, loose connections, or improperly installed parts).

  2. What is Not Covered

    • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, accidental damage, misuse, or user error (e.g., water damage, drops, overheating, or incorrect charging practices).

    • Issues caused by third-party modifications, tampering, or repairs not performed by GameBoyMart.

    • Battery life or performance, as rechargeable batteries are consumable components and naturally degrade over time.

    • Software-related problems, including corrupted game saves, ROM issues, or unauthorized software use.

  3. Customer Responsibility

    • Customers are responsible for safe use, handling, and storage of their systems after modification.

    • Systems must be shipped securely and with proper packaging if returned for warranty service. GameBoy Mart is not liable for shipping-related damages.

  4. Repair & Replacement Process

    • If a defect covered under this warranty occurs, GameBoyMart will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective part at no additional labor cost.

    • Customers may be responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.

    • Repairs outside of the 1-year warranty window may still be offered at a reasonable service rate.

  5. Liability Limitation

    • Under no circumstances shall GameBoyMart’s liability exceed the original purchase price of the modification or repair service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GameBoyMart, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your breach of these Terms or misuse of our Services.
